AI consulting and governance for Perth businesses

ABit Systems is a Perth-based MSP providing AI consulting and governance — where assistants save time, what data they can reach, and an acceptable-use policy for staff — for businesses across metro Perth and rural Western Australia.

Where can an assistant save time?

Most business software now ships with an AI assistant built in. We help you work out where those features genuinely save your team time, and leave the rest switched off.

  • Find the tasks where AI actually saves time
  • Turn on assistant features included in your existing licences
  • Practical training so people use it safely

What about Microsoft 365 Copilot?

Microsoft 365 Copilot is the assistant in Microsoft 365. Where it is already on your licences, we switch it on for the tasks where it saves time. Where it is not part of what you pay for, we say so before anything is added.

Mail, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and the licences themselves are set up under Cloud & Microsoft 365. This page is about which assistant features to use, and on what data.

  • Copilot only where the licence already includes it
  • Switched on for tasks that save time
  • Left off where it does not earn its place

How do you control what AI can reach?

We control what business data AI tools can reach, write an acceptable-use policy for staff, and train people so they use the tools inside that boundary.

Staff sometimes open an AI tool before anyone has agreed it should see company files. The policy names the tools that are allowed. Access control limits the business data those tools can reach. Training walks people through that boundary.

The Australian Signals Directorate’s Essential Eight, and the wider set of IT policies, registers and access reviews, stay with IT governance.

Common questions about AI consulting

What does AI consulting cover?

Finding the tasks where an assistant genuinely saves time, turning on assistant features already included in your licences, controlling what business data those tools can reach, an acceptable-use policy for staff, and practical training.

Do you switch on Microsoft 365 Copilot?

Microsoft 365 Copilot is the assistant in Microsoft 365. Where it is already on your licences, we switch it on for the tasks where it saves time. Where it is not part of what you pay for, we say so before anything is added.

What if staff start using an AI tool on their own?

An acceptable-use policy names the tools staff may use, and access control limits the business data those tools can reach. Training walks people through that boundary.

Is this the same as the Essential Eight?

AI consulting covers assistants, data they can reach, and staff policy. Essential Eight assessment and the wider IT policy set sit with IT governance.
